8557 Fashion Design / Clothing Careers If you have a flair for fashion, consider a career in clothing design and manufacturing, one of the largest industries in the United States. You'll learn professional design techniques, make computerized patterns, translate your ideas to actual garments you sew yourself and study fabrics and the history of fashion._All 10th, 11th, & 12th grade students who are enrolled full time in any Colorado high school are eligible to attend C E C Middle College. Students can attend a morning or afternoon session for 15 hours of elective credit, and continue to take their academic credits at their present high school. Credits: 15 Elective Grades: 10 -- 12 Number of Semesters: 1 -- 4 Articulation Agreement: Emily Griffith Opportunity School (EGOS) From junior year on, CEC Middle College of Denver students can take up to four courses a year at Community College of Denver (CCD) in lieu of academic courses at C E C. Upon graduation, students can complete their associates degree at CCD in one year, rather than two. The degree can then be transferred to a bachelors or other advanced degree program. C E C also has an affiliate agreement with Emily Griffith Opportunity School to provide industry certification for specific course work. Any high school student who wants to take full advantage of his or her career and academic options can apply on a space available basis. C E C Middle College of Denver enrolls both full-time and half-day students. Enrollment as a full-time student is by application and interview only. Students accepted to the full-time program take all of their career and academic courses through C E C. Half-day students take pre-professional courses on C E Cs Northwest Denver campus while enrolled in their home high schools. Nationwide, middle college-style high schools have been very successful in serving the needs of urban students. They've improved school attendance and academic performance, increased graduation rates and the number of students who pursue higher education, and improved job placements. At C E C Middle College of Denver, not only do students have the advantage of a real-life learning experience offered by numerous career-oriented courses many of which provide internships they get a jump-start on a college degree or industry certification. Students who successfully complete the Middle College program can receive an associate's degree in one rather than two years after completing their senior year. He previously worked at EA Canada for 10 years as an Art Director and CG Supervisor shipping over 21 games like NBA STREET, SSX, James Bond 007, NBA Live and Need for Speed. Before gaming Adam worked as a commercial fashion, product and portrait photographer. In his spare time when he has the energy, he builds robots which make art. Kirk Gibbons, Art Director, Pandemic Studios With a 10 year history in creating innovative interactive experiences, Kirk has directed industry-leading teams in both games and on the web. Currently, Kirk is an Art Director at Pandemic Studios in Brisbane focusing on creating an innovative Next Gen Title. Prior to Pandemic, Kirk was the creative director on NBA Street Next Gen and the Art Director of the multi-platinum NBA Street Series: V3 and Vol.2, at EA Canada.
