The beautiful Gardens at Glyndebourne, famous for the picnics laid on by Glyndebourne Festival audiences, provide the backdrop for a curious set of portraits. Objects found at Glyndebourne dance in the landscape in a surrealist fashion. The images are literally ripped apart and stitched into with thread, before being re-photographed. These actions are accentuated by the unnerving pulse and chime of the music. This attempt to piece together incongruous objects and situations is questioning in its nature, reflecting the initial reaction that these artists had to Glyndebourne which can appear to house a bundle of contradictions, in its already complicated infrastructure.
