I made it to 60!!
Sorry I just have to pat myself on the back for a minute…60 self-portraits in 60 days! Eeek! I’ve been feeling a little down on the project lately. Because of lack of time…being tired from being woken up a bunch at night…feeling a general sense of blech…wanting to be taking pictures of other things besides myself…and plenty of other reasons. New Self Portrait: The Ghost Of Autumn
Ghost Of Autumn, 2008 ON FLICKR Delicious autumn! 20 Days In
So, 20 days ago, I started this little photography challenge for my friends. 100 photos in 100 days. And it was to “indentify” us. In the end, we would print them on Moo cards (which are totally fun and cute, btw). You get 100 for an order and they can all be different, or the same. Serious Hair
Serious Hair, originally uploaded by exoskeletoncabaret. A relatively rare self-portrait, pre-club on a Friday night. I’m especially pleased with my up-do this evening. Ever since my hair was cut into a poor excuse for an a-line with bangs, I’ve fought with my technicolor locks daily. My saving graces are a tiny-barreled Vidal Sassoon curling iron, piles of hair pins, and of course, enough mega-hold hairspray to provide myself with a dedicated hole in the ozone layer. For now, I'm too tired to explain the 'through the viewfinder' look of this. So, if you're interested, check Andrea's explanation. Even if you're not interested, I recommend checking it out, she does a really good job of explaining it. I'm doing something similar, only the twin lens reflex camera I'm using (borrowed from a friend) has a 5x5 grid on the ground glass viewfinder.
