Compact Camera for a prosumer
Well, been looking for a high end compact camera. When I was on film, used a Yashica which was compact, but had a great fixed focus lense and excellent quality. There really isn’t a good answer yet for digital. What do you need for a prosumer that is different from a point-and-shoot. Well, the ideal list is pocketable since the whole point is that you don’t have your point and shoot, good quality blowups to say 11×17 (which is to say 8MP or so), high ISO and low noise which usually comes from a

SHANGHAI - Photos including Shanghai World Financial Center
Here's a video showing the photos I took this summer (2008) when I went to Shanghai on holiday. I've been on the Shanghai World Financial Center too on the 1st of September! It was fantastic being at 492m of height on the 100th floor. The SWFC is now the tallest building in Shanghai. Camera used: Canon EOS 40D Lens used: SIGMA 18-200 mm F3.5-6.3 + Optical Stabilizer Music added: Shock of The Lightning by Oasis Places showed in photos: Nanjing East and West Road, Xu Jia Hui, Lu Jia Zui, Pudong, The Bund (Wai Tain), Wu Mao Chang. P.S.: I flew with Finnair. The first photo shows a Boeing MD-11 wing. Enjoy and comment :)
Testing my new toy :) Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM lense
It finally arrived today! My new Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM lense. I’ve been really looking forward to this lens as I, usually, shoot from greater distance and in motion. So, a telephoto lens with an image stabilizer was always what I wanted. Especially after trying out Milan Vasek’s Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG MACRO HSM, for which I thank him again ;) , I felt this kind of a lens would be a must have for the kid of photos I take.
