Photographer Development Model Here’s a simple stock photography business model I dreamed up a moment ago. I will keep the whole thing simple. I have called it the “Photographer Development Model” since it represents the two most important dimensions of stock photography that impact every stock photographer. Microstock: where’s the pain? I don’t do microstock. Here’s why. Microstock licenses images to commercial buyers. Commercial buyers are anyone who licenses images to include in a publication, webpage, put on a product or whatever with the purpose of making money. Even if it is a non-profit organization, it is still in the game to make money. Bing. Bang. Bong. There we have it!! My photos have passed the Quality Control at Alamy!! I can now upload my images till my hearts content, and sell them to the world. And the icing on the cake is that I also got 18hrs extra a week at work today. AND… the second serving of the cake? Were having enchilladas tonight. Oh yes.
