Sleeping Grizzly Bear (Ursus Horribilis)
Photographing bears, particularly Grizzly Bears, is always a rush. These animals are truly awesome. Their natural behavior, raw power and characteristic look make for great photography. No matter where you photograph these awe inspiring creatures, the wild, zoos or wildlife refuges, they always deserve your respect as you never know what they might do. With a little luck someday soon I look forward to the opportunity to photograph Grizzlies on the Katmai coast amongst many other places. Tec

Wolf Encounter Denali National Park
Certainly one of the highlights of the trip was a close encounter with a wolf inside of Denali National Park. Only a mile or so back we had seen a wolf sitting well off the road on what biologists told us was a den. It was hard to tell what it was without a spotting scope because of the distance. I was satisfied that even without a photo I had at least seen a wolf little did I know that moments latter one would walk right down the road by us giving us some great photo opportunities.
