There were a few nice flowers outside the grocery store I noticed the sap on a ponderosa pine that had a bald spot and decided to try a couple macro shots to see what would happen. I really like them the light was not ideal for most of the sap drop and I had to focus on just a couple, so I think I will try this again on another day and see what else I can come up with. This one I didn’t see the little ant while I was taking the pic, because the sun was shining in my eyes, so it was

First Snow
On the we had a couple days of rain and it was supposed to be snow in the high country so when I got up on the 6th to blue skies I headed to the edge of the hill to see if the mountains were clouded in and if they had snow on them. They were clear and beautiful. I wish I could have taken off for the day but the car wasn’t going to be available so I headed to town to get the mail and figured I had about an hour and a half to see if I could get some photos around town of the fresh snow. Before

It’s the rutting season in Colorado and the bull Elks are out doing their thing. Last Friday, after some serious hours at the day job, I got the day off and took advantage of the week day low-traffic to head to Estes Park and to Rocky Mountain National Park to see what kind of photography I could take.
