Tenba Shootout Photo Sling Bag

The Tenba Shootout Sling bag is unique in its ability to be converted from a quick-draw shooting bag to a long lens bag configuration, offering incredible versatility, especially to sports and wildlife/outdoor photographers. The Sling bag is carried on the back with a single, contoured and padded cross-chest strap rather than two shoulder straps. This design allows it to be instantly swung around in front of the photographer, providing immediate access to a primary camera with mounted lens, for fast shooting right out of the bag. Movable padded walls within the bag allow the quick-draw compartment to be fitted precisely to the main camera/lens combination, and also create additional spaces for extra bodies, lenses and accessories. These walls can be completely removed, turning the Sling into a vertically-oriented long lens bag. In this configuration, a pro D/SLR with mounted telephoto—up to 300mm 2.8 (also Canon 400mm 4.0 DO) for the medium Sling (depending on specific equipment used)—is loaded straight down through the bag via the large top door. Many requests from professional photographers were incorporated into Shootout Sling, such as the use of durable, water-resistant nylon instead of the more common polyester for the exterior, weather-sealed YKK® zippers on all outside openings, monopod straps, protective rubber bottom treads, and more. The Tenba Sling also provides a full-access back panel that can be opened to fully expose the interior for setup, loading and cleaning. Other features include Tenbas fast-deploying WeatherWrap™ rain cover, a strap front-mounted phone/audio pouch, auxiliary security strap, and a variety of accessory pockets and compartments. Despite the special materials and arsenal of features, the Sling weighs in at only 35-46 ounces, depending on configuration. OUTSIDE DIMENSIONS: 9W x 16.5H x 8D inches 23W x 42H x 20D centimeters INSIDE DIMENSIONS 8W x 15.5H x 7D inches 20W x 39H x 18D centimeters Specifications are approximate. CAPACITY 1-2 D/SLR bodies with 3-4 lenses, flash and accessories. Or 1 D/SLR with long lens up to 400mm 2.8. WEIGHT 44 oz. with dividers (35 oz. in long lens configuration) 1.3 kg. with dividers (1 kg. in long lens configuration) Cat. 632-631 black/olive 632-632 silver/black 632-633 black/black

Neptune's Garden

This show was created by Photodex featured photographer George Perina using ProShow Gold. For more information on ProShow, please visit http://www.photodex.com. George Perina recently moved from Santa Barbara to Fort Bragg, California. The coastal scenery, the abundant marine life, and the forest wildlife of Northern California proved to be an irresistable temptation, luring him away from "the big city." He now divides his time between photography and computer consulting. Though photography is his passion, computers are what pay the bills and keeps him in camera equipment. "I still haven't reached the stage where I can devote myself entirely to photography, as much as I'd like to." One of his favorite photo themes is colors in Nature, and he's now at work creating a series of pictorial essays entitled "Nature's Rainbow." He's been an active diver for 30 years, and has logged several thousand dives. His images have appeared in ISLANDS and SPORT DIVER magazines. He has an underwater calendar coming out this year called "In The Sea," featuring many of his favorite images. After leaving the army, where he took up photography as a hobby, his love of the ocean compelled him to move to Santa Barbara, to pursue a degree in marine biology. "I've always been fascinated by the sea and the creatures in it. A degree in marine biology and an interest in underwater photography were natural extensions of that life-long fascination." Though computers occupy too much of his time today, he spent 7 years as a dive instructor working throughout the Caribbean and the Red Sea. He got hooked on computers about ten years ago and went back to school to study networking and hardware. It felt odd to start a new career at 40, but computers have been his main focus for last 9 years. "Computers hold a special fascination for me. I find it almost inconceivable that I can go on a beach dive in the morning --and show the pictures to someone in London later on that same day via the Internet." www.lifeintheseas.com, his website, was originally designed as a simple home page, to share his photos with his fellow divers and co-workers. But the site has grown, and he now receives inquiries from all over the world about his travels, marine biology and photography. "I love it when I get a comment from grade-school students asking about marine life, or a photography question from somewhere half-way around the world like New Zealand. We truly have become a global community."
